So, who am I?
Sheri Ray, a wife and Mother of three, while living in the Northwest, having previously been a corrections officer, was asked to appear on the A&E program "60 Days In," Season two. Her undercover work in Indiana allowed the Clark County Sheriff's Department to improve upon preventing drug usage and contraband within the jail system. She is a main contributor to a pamphlet, now used by the department, that is having a major impact on previously incarcerated persons re-entering society.
As a result of her outstanding work, during the program, she was hired thereafter as a Corrections Officer (CO) for Clark County. This led to a follow up docuseries by A&E titled, "60 Days In: Inmate to Officer." This new perspective equipped Sheri with new skills and tools to more compassionately handle the incarcerated from intake to release.
Although she has enjoyed sharing her experiences thus far, sheri wants to expand on her efforts by starting a new organization that would allow her to have a greater impact. Through the upcoming development of Rays of Hope, LLC., she will have a broader range of services and resources available for rehabilitation and societal re-entry.
Having similar experiences, she can now relate to those she is trying to help. This gives her an advantage over other organizations, because she has common ground, giving her the ability to really get to the heart of the matter and resolve issues quickly for those in need. Sheri has also obtained Recovery Coach Credentials from Mental Health America of Indiana and is a member of The Association for Behavioral Health Professionals.
We invite you to join us on this journey of providing rays of sunshine on the paths of those in need of shimmers of light, as they travel the roads of healing, forgiveness, and growth.
Please, feel free to contact Sheri, or visit the resources page for assistance! We welcome networking opportunities with like-minded individuals and organizations.
